I have always loved the mascot characters that showed up in early advertising. There is something relatable and humorous about these icons that help make your brands product more memorable. After admiring these characters for a few years I figured it would be cool to turn our paper plane icon into one.

I didn’t want to just throw a face on something and call it a day, so I incorprated the papers fold of the plane to create the nose of the character. When you can incorporate elements of the original design it helps to create a cohesive feeling and give the design a natural feeling.
What’s left is giving the character a name and introducing him into the brand. The Glidey mascot shirts are now available in our online store here.
Glidey made his debut this season and you can expect to see him as a frequent flyer on future releases.
