I spent a week in Hawaii to celebrate one of my best friends birthday. It’s really nice to get away with the family to think about life, the brand and everything. I came back refreshed and ready to push even harder to make the Benny Gold brand the best it possibly can be!

Just a few miles from our Lahaina hotel was one of the best skate parks that I have ever seen. I was there, with my friend Hersk, first thing every morning for dawn patrol.

Our longtime friend Mackey is a familiar face around our blog. He first started to come to SF when I was still working and shipping the brand out of my apartment. He was there when we opened our first shop and then helped us move into our larger 16th street location. It’s awesome to watch your friends grow and become successful! Since meeting Mackey he has done some amazing design work like the rebrand for Instagram. Yes, you read that correct – he designed the new Instagram logo.

He has also recently opened up a amazing boutique / coffee shop in the historic Baker neighborhood of Denver, Colorado called Steadbrook. His lifestyle shop is beautifully executed and we are proud to have our brand offered through them. We are proud of you Mackey!

The Jaro Sisters Preview by Danny Steezy

Our friend and talented photographer Danny Steezy enlisted the help of everyone’s favorite sisters, the Jaro’s to showcase our new collection. Here is a preview of the shoot with Dawn and Justene Jaro. Thank you Danny – I am really looking forward to seeing how the rest of the shoot turned out. It looks like everyone was having a lot of fun!
